Frequently Asked Questions

May 10, 2026. Since this will be a destination wedding for most of our guests, we kindly ask you to RSVP earlier than normal to allow us time to coordinate and make any proper adjustments. There will be no formal invitation sent, please RSVP through this website.

Please note this will be an adults-only event, with the exception of a few older family and wedding party members. We are happy to help make babysitting arrangements, at your request.

This website was only shared with one guest of a couple/family or a single guest welcome to bring a +1. If applicable, please include both guests’ first and last names in the RSVP. If you are a family or wedding party member bringing your child(ren), including children over 18, please provide the details requested.

We ask for your prompt arrival at 3:30pm.

Yes. Those staying at Quinta das Essências can walk or golf carts will be available the day of the wedding. There is also ample parking at Quinta da Eira if you choose to drive yourself.

Transportation will be available to Quinta da Eira from Penafiel Park Hotel and Quinta da Cruz. Cars and vans will be outside both hotel lobbies and departing by 3pm. Drop-off back to these hotels will occur from Quinta da Eira around 1:30am.

As an alternative to these times, taxis can be requested in advance through your hotel. If you need a return taxi before or after 1:30am, please let our wedding planner or someone in the wedding party know in advance (at least by the time dinner starts). It is always good to have Euros for these kinds of circumstances.

Cocktail attire, bright colors are encouraged!

**Ladies, please leave your stilettos at home! Our wedding is at a farm that is spacious with uneven gravel and cobblestone pathways. If you prefer to wear heels, block heels or platforms are highly recommended.

Weather permitting, we will be both indoors (with AC) and outside throughout the day and night. In June, temps can get into the 90s during the day and cool down significantly after sunset.

We kindly request an unplugged ceremony. Please turn off all devices and enjoy being fully present with us during the ceremony and toast. However, before and after the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos as you’d like.

If you’re in the North, Rui, The Road Butler, could be a good option. We haven’t done a tour with him yet but he is from Porto and very knowledgeable. Mention you are visiting for our wedding!
