Intro
Welcome to our wedding website! We feel so lucky to be in Portugal and are excited to bring our closest family and friends together to celebrate this momentous occasion in the country we now call home. We are truly grateful you are making the journey to be part of this special day and hope you will be able to let loose and enjoy yourselves throughout what will be an epic marathon (read: 12 hours!).

Places To Stay
Penafiel is conveniently located in the North, it’s only 30 minutes from OPO (Francisco Sá Carneiro, Porto international airport) and our favorite city, Porto! And 40 minutes east is the beautiful Douro River Valley, which we highly recommend visiting.
LIS (Humberto Delgado, Lisbon international airport) is a 3-hour drive from Penafiel. Although further south, LIS offers more flight options from the US and there are also many wonderful places between Lisbon and the North worth visiting such as Sintra, Cascais, Óbidos, Nazare, and Aveiro, just to name a few.
Transportation
Ubers, Bolt, Taxis – available in the bigger cities (ie. Lisbon, Porto) and very affordable. Taxis are available in the smaller towns/villages and likely reached via phone but in our experience they cost significantly more than Uber/Bolt.
If you plan on flying into LIS or OPO and exploring either city, having a car is more of a hassle (parking can be pricey and challenging to find, and many “streets” are not necessarily what we’d categorize a road for cars, rather more like a narrow alleyway!).

Wishing Well
We will not have a gift registry. We are lucky enough to have everything we need for our home, and your presence at our wedding is present enough! Though should you wish to help us fulfill our dream of finally (legally) crossing borders throughout Europe and beyond, a cash gift towards our Adventures and Honeymoon-Somewhere-At-Some-Point Fund would be greatly appreciated.
